Sexual Education has impacted the lives of many ever since the 1960's. It has became important to teach to children throughout many school districts because of the rapid increase in teenage pregnancies. According to research about 26% of boys and 17% of girls all have admitted to having sex before the age of 16. Because of these extreme numbers it is said that 1 in 4 teenage girls carry a sexually transmitted infection meaning that it is crucial to get the information out to young adults as early as possible. Sexual Education is an important topic to teach children as young as elementary school to prepare them for the future.
